Position 4 - Quin Collins Pehrson – is a lifelong resident of Grants Pass and proudly credits Grants Pass School District 7 with providing the strong educational foundation that set the stage for her academic and professional success. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University and a master’s degree with honors from Southern Oregon University. Currently, Quin serves as the Executive Director of the Redwood Foundation for Education. In this role, she partners with individuals, families, businesses, and service organizations to foster investment in early childhood, K–12, and postsecondary education and training.
A committed community leader, Quin has volunteered on the Grants Pass School District 7 Budget Committee for more than six years. She also has served on several local and statewide boards, including Grants Pass Rotary, Grants Pass Kiwanis, the Three Rivers Community Orchestra, and the Nonprofit Association of Oregon. She brings deep experience and a collaborative spirit to each of these roles.
Quin is committed to building upon the great work the district has already accomplished and to working collaboratively to address the challenges it currently faces. Her priorities include:
Supporting Student Success: Continuing to invest in alternative programs such as GP Flex and Gladiola High School, expanding behavioral health support for students, and enhancing career and technical education—so all students are prepared for life after high school.
Ensuring Fiscal Responsibility and Transparency: Providing strong financial oversight and making strategic investments in school infrastructure to support long-term success.
Fostering Family and Community Involvement: Strengthening connections between parents, schools, and community partners to ensure every student has the support they need to thrive.
