Position 3 - Gary Richardson, is a dedicated husband, father, engineer, and community leader who has passionately served the Grants Pass School District #7 School Board for 20 years. Gary and his family are deeply rooted in Grants Pass, and his commitment to our community and schools reflects his lifelong passion for excellence and service.
Gary holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Oregon State University, where he graduated with honors. Professionally, he serves as the Engineering Manager at MurCal, bringing extensive leadership experience from his roles as Senior Embedded Software Engineer and Manager at FW Murphy Production Controls, Vice President of Engineering at Ryeso, Inc., and Staff Engineer at E&C Engineering. His disciplined approach stems from his time serving honorably in the United States Air Force, where he earned recognition as Airman of the Month in the 366 CRS, Tactical Air Command.
Beyond his professional achievements, Gary has an extensive record of community involvement. He's a retired Registered Professional Engineer in Oregon, former Director and past President of Grants Pass Area Habitat for Humanity, and past Chairman of Applegate Community Church. His leadership roles have ranged from coaching youth basketball and soccer to serving as a club leader for AWANA youth programs.
